Any Ideas For Purchasing UGA-GT Tickets?
So, I'm entering UGA in the fall as a freshman. My buddy on the other hand is going to be a freshman at Tech. My roomate and I have planned to have the Techie over for the UGA-GT game in Athens, but in my research I have found the cheapest tickets to be about $150. With the recent switch from paper tickets to using student ids with tickets loaded on them I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to land him a ticket for less than $150. Or is that just the price of witnessing Georgia's biggest rivalry game?

wait til later in the season...right now everyone selling on ebay and all the other online places are being greedy...they are banking on everyones optimism for their favorite teams before the season starts.

4-5 weeks in you should see some downward adjusting on the part of people who are now just trying to make sure they get SOME money out of their tickets.

I've never paid more than face for a ticket on gameday.

He can always just get his ticket through Tech and enjoy the lovely 600 section - you can almost see the players from that vantage point.

Ok thanks a lot. What would you estimate the price to get down to when it gets close to the game? Being college kids, we are all a bit tight with money

Seriously? That's the weirdest thing I've ever heard.

When my friends came to UGA games from rival schools they bought their student tickets through their own school. Unless something's changed since then...

1.) Call him a nerd
2.) give him a wedgie
3.) break his star wars memorabilia
4.) tell him to figure out a f---ing equation for finding a ticket
5.) ???
6.) Profit!

Most likely, Tech has already sold their allotment, therefore he would have to try to go through out ticket office but everybody knows that aint happenin. Secondly, the Tech ticket is pretty easy to get on gameday. A lot of people bail because it's right after Thanksgiving and oftentimes the weather sucks. Just don't try to get tickets from a guy with a year round tan. They are there just to make money. Try to snag a guy near the gate that is just ready to sell his extra tickets and get inside. I can't tell you how many times I've handed people tickets for free because I was tired of standing there with tickets over my head.

Ford, in all seriousness, it might be easiest for him to get the ticket from Tech (maybe a Tech student...I mean, how are their tickets issued for away games? I would bet they aren't loaded on their cards, cuz we ain't scannin' that crap.

Once you're in, if you learn how to work the CSS people, he'll be able to sit anywhere in the student section he wants to. People essentially squish each other in the student section because everyone tried to get their friends and then some to sit with them. That said, the one thing you MUST do as a student ticket holder is get in there EARLY to get your seat.
